LA LAGUNA UNIVERSITY GETS THE FIRST CHAIR OF TELEMEDICINE IN THE WORLD.

 

 

The University of La Laguna have since 16 of September of 1999 the first UNESCO chair of Telemedicine. The sign of the agreement took place in Paris (see Figure 1). The investigation group managed by Prof. Dr. O. Ferrer-Roca, chair of Anatomy Pathology of La Laguna University carry out the world wide diffusion activity of Telemedicine for improvement of the education and sanitary levels at low developments countries.

The first projects have been established with the Universities of Entre Rios (Argentina) and del Zulia (Venezuela), whose representatives were present during the signature. (see (Figure 2). It's being extending after that to Panama, Makerere (Uganda).
